John P. Schegg, Chairman
John brings a clear history of successes in corporate, entrepreneurial, and academic environments.
He has held several senior human resource positions in consumer products, manufacturing, publishing and electronics companies. He has been a human resources partner to business clients for many years, providing a broad range of services including outplacement, search and career counseling.
He is well connected in the regional business community and is the founder of the Human Resource Forum for the Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce. John is a former member of the Board of Directors and Past President of the Human Resources Association of Greater New Haven, a chapter of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM). His proactive networking has helped hundreds of unemployed people find new jobs and new careers. John has a MBA degree from Fairfield University and a BS degree from the University of Bridgeport.
Ian Kennedy, President
Ian brings broad business perspective to his work as both a Career Transition and an Executive Performance coach. His career has spanned accomplishments in general management, customer service, operations, sales, marketing and accounting, in large companies and start ups, both here and abroad.
Prior to joining The Schegg Group, Ian was the CEO of Australian Skandia, Ltd., in Sydney, Australia. Before that he was a Senior Vice President at American Skandia, Inc. He was Vice President and head of Customer Service for the U.S. division of Sun Life of Canada.
Ian’s work building high-performance organizations is featured in three management books: Market Ownership, The Art & Science of Becoming #1, by William A. Sherden, Fun Works, Creating Places Where People Love to Work, by Leslie Yerkes and Lead like an Entrepreneur, by Dr. Neal Thornberry.
Ian has an MBA from Babson College and a Bachelors degree from Concordia University. He is qualified in MBTI (Myers Briggs Type Indicator) and is certified to teach The Organization Workshop, developed by Barry Oshry, Power and Systems, Inc.
Ian is a member of the Board of Directors of the Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Board of Directors of The Darien Professionals, a networking group and a frequent and sought-after motivational speaker. He is a tireless networker who gives of his time and energy to help anyone looking for their next job opportunity.
Barbara R. Schegg, Senior Vice President
Barbara brings highly diversified experience in entrepreneurial business management and program design, development and implementation in the non-profit sector, search and education. Her concentration over the past several years has been in career counseling, executive coaching and outplacement service delivery for corporate and plant manufacturing, health care, non-profit, service and financial organizations. She brings special expertise in preparing individuals for the job search by identifying core competencies, facilitating effective networking, developing strong interview skills and evaluating offers. She also assists clients in a rapid, successful assimilation into the new organization.
Barbara has a degree in Education from Southern Connecticut State University, New Haven. She has done graduate work in Psychology and Counseling and is a Certified Personnel Consultant. She is qualified in MBTI (Myers Briggs Type Indicator) and fluent in Spanish.
Mary Anne Calabrese, SPHR, Director of Search and Career Counseling
Mary Anne is an accomplished professional with 10 years of increasing responsibility in both internal and external human resources,in the areas of staffing, employee relations, learning, organizational development, compensation and benefits. She has strong research, problem solving, project management, client management and interpersonal skills with an excellent record of delivering results. Mary Anne’s career also includes customer service, sales management and finance.
Prior to joining The Schegg Group, Mary Anne was the HR Staff and Recruiting Manager at Connolly Consulting. Prior to that, she was a Project Manager for Kenexa, a global staffing company and Associate Director, Human Resources at American Skandia. Her clients appreciate Mary Anne’s pragmatic approach to resume building and her ability to prepare them for successful job interviewing.
Mary Anne has a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts and has earned the SPHR designation (Senior Professional Human Resources).
Jackie Fedor, Director of Sales and Client Relations
Jackie is a sales and marketing professional with a history of successes in sales, new business development and customer relationship management. An accomplished networker, her skills have been developed and sharpened in B2B technical and service organizations. She began her career in sales at IBM and earned many Branch Manager’s awards over a 7 year period – five 100% Clubs and one Golden Circle. Prior to joining The Schegg Group, Jackie represented ICXpress.
Her knowledge, enthusiasm, sincerity and concern for her clients’ needs, paired with her commitment to providing appropriate solutions, have earned Jackie great respect in the business community. Jackie is a member of Southern CT SHRM and is a Board member on the Executive Committee of the Human Resource Association of Greater New Haven chapter. She leads the Human Resources Forum of the Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the Women in Networking Group of The Greater Valley Chamber in Shelton.
Jackie has a Bachelors degree in Marketing and Business from Fairfield University.
